SSC Stenographer Group C & Group D Recruitment 2022: Qualification

The Staff Selection Commission will hold an Open Competitive Computer Based Examination for recruitment of Stenographer Grade C and Stenographer Grade D for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. Only those candidates who have the required skills in stenography are eligible to apply.

The candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

• Stenographer Grade D Transcription – English : 50 Minutes | Hindi 65 Minutes
• Stenographer Grade C  Transcription -English : 40 Minutes | Hindi 55 Minutes

SSC Stenographer Group C & Group D Recruitment 2022: Written Exam Pattern

The details of the computer-based examination are mentioned below

• The question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
• Total time duration = 2 Hour

Skill Test in Stenography:

The candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination for the next stage will have to appear for the Skill Test in Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the online Application Form) at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer.
